Ammonium ferri-sulphite, NH4.Fe(SO3)SO4

Ammonium ferri-sulphite, NH4.Fe(SO3)SO4.H2O, may be obtained by treating ferric ammonium alum with ammonium hydrogen sulphite. It crystallises in slender, yellow needles which are but slightly soluble in cold and hot water. Prolonged boiling decomposes the salt.
