Ferrous thio-pyrophosphate, Fe2P2S7

Ferrous thio-pyrophosphate, Fe2P2S7, has been obtained by heating the metal or its sulphide with sulphur and phosphorus as in the preparation of the preceding salt. It crystallises in lustrous lamellae, which are insoluble in cold nitric acid.
