Ferrous thiocarbonate, FeCS3
On adding an alkali thiocarbonate to ferrous sulphate solution a red liquid is obtained, which gradually becomes darker in colour on standing. The solution is believed to contain Ferrous thiocarbonate, FeCS3 (Berzelius).
