Nickel ferrite, Ni(FeO2)2
Nickel ferrite, Ni(FeO2)2, is obtained on addition of potassium hydroxide to a mixed solution of a nickel salt and ferric chloride, and igniting. It is a brown substance, strongly magnetic.
