Ammonium ferricyanide, 2(NH4)3[Fe(CN)6]
Ammonium ferricyanide, 2(NH4)3[Fe(CN)6].H2O, may be prepared in a similar manner to the potassium salt (vide infra). It yields red monoclinic prisms, which readily dissolve in water. The solution hydrolyses upon standing, and is more sensitive to the action of light in this respect than is the potassium salt.
