Cupric ferrite, Cu(FeO2)2

Cupric ferrite, Cu(FeO2)2 is obtained by adding black copper oxide to neutral ferric chloride solution, and igniting. It also results by heating copper oxide and ferric oxide to a high temperature, the ferrite being separated from uncombined oxide by making use of its density and magnetic properties. It is strongly magnetic.
