Ferric chlorate, Fe(ClO3)3

Ferric chlorate, Fe(ClO3)3, is obtained when chlorine is passed through water containing hydrated ferric oxide in suspension. Its heat of formation is given by Thomsen as follows: -

2[Fe(HO)3] + 6HClO3.Aq. + Aq. = 2Fe(ClO3)3.Aq. + 32,340 calories.
