Ferric phosphite, Fe2(HPO3)3
Ferric phosphite, Fe2(HPO3)3, has been obtained only in solution by dissolving freshly precipitated ferric hydroxide in phosphorous acid. On dilution with water a basic phosphite is obtained of probable composition Fe2(HPO3)3.2Fe(HO)3.
A basic ferric phosphite, Fe4(HPO3)6.Fe(HO)3.5H2O, has been described. |
