Ferrous monoferrifluoride, FeF2.FeF3

Ferrous monoferrifluoride, FeF2.FeF3.7H2O, is obtained as yellow crystals on mixing a solution of ferric hydroxide in dilute hydrofluoric acid with a solution of ferrous carbonate in the same acid and concentrating at the ordinary temperature over lime.
