Ferrous perchlorate, Fe(ClO4)2

Ferrous perchlorate, Fe(ClO4)2.6H2O, may be prepared either by the solution of iron in perchloric acid or by the interaction of solutions of ferrous sulphate and barium perchlorate.

On evaporation light green crystals are produced which evolve water at 100° C. and decompose completely at higher temperatures.
