Nickel ferrocyanide, Ni₂Fe(CN)₆

Nickel ferrocyanide, Ni₂Fe(CN)₆.Aq., is bluish green in colour, stable towards chlorine water, but oxidised to brown ferricyanide with bromine water.

On boiling with concentrated hydrochloric acid, the acid salt, NiH₂Fe(CN)₆.3H₂O, is obtained.

The following ammoniates have been prepared: namely, Ni₂Fe(CN)₆.5NH₃.4H₂O, and Ni₂Fe(CN)₆.7NH₃.
